Wooden table & benches Country Style

 1.
Cut all the pieces for the rack (using a craft knife) from 3 mm thick sheet of balsa wood.
The pieces are:
1 piece: 12 x 7,5 cm (desk)
1 piece: 2 x 10 cm (center support piece)
4 pieces: 2 x 6 cm (upper and lower parts of the legs)
2 pieces: 3 x 1,5 cm (middle parts of the legs)
2 pieces: 2 x 1 cm (extension pieces for the long center support piece)

Draw a wavy line onto the upper and lower parts of the legs. The upper piece is app. n. 4 mm higher than the lower piece. Cut them with a craft knife and sand carefully.

Glue the middle parts at the center of the upper and lower parts of the legs. Make another one in the same way. Let dry. These are the complete legs for the table.

Glue the legs underneath of the table top, about 7 mm from the edges. Let dry.

5.
Glue the center support piece in the legs. Let the glue dry.

6.
Form the extensions of the center support as in picture (semicircle).

7.
Glue the extensions of the center support in place.

8.
Cut all the pieces for the benches (using a craft knife) from 3 mm thick sheet of balsa wood.
The pieces are:
2 pieces : 11 x 2,5 cm (seats)
4 pieces: 2,5 x 3 cm (legs)

9.
Shape the legs carefully with a craft knife and a sandpaper into a shape a bit like a hour glass.

10.
Glue the sides onto the seats and let the glue dry.

11.
Paint the table and benches completely with a light blue acrylic paint. Let the paint dry.

12.
To achieve an old, antique look for this dinette, sand all the edges carefully.

Materiaalit:

3 mm paksua balsapuuta
mattoveitsi
lyijykynä
vaaleansinistä akryylimaalia
pensseli
puuliimaa
hiekkapaperia

1.
Leikkaa mattoveitsellä balsapuulevystä seuraavat osat:
1 kpl: 12 x 7,5 cm (pöytälevy)
1 kpl: 2 x 10 cm (tukipuomi)
4 kpl: 2 x 6 cm (jalkojen ylä- ja alaosat)
2 kpl: 3 x 1,5 cm (jalkojen keskiosat)
2 kpl: 2 x 1 cm (tukipuomin jatkopalat)

Piirrä aaltomainen viiva jalkojen ylä- ja alaosiin. Yläosa on n. 4 mm alaosaa korkeampi. Seuraa piirtämääsi viivaa ja leikkaa mattoveitsellä. Hio tarvittaessa kevyesti.

Liimaa jalkojen keskiosat paikoilleen. Anna liiman kuivua. 

4.
Liimaa jalat pöytälevyn alapuolelle, noin7 mm päähän reunoista. Anna liiman kuivua.

5.
Liimaa tukipuomi jalkojen väliin.

6.
Muotoile tukipuomin jatkopalat kuvan mukaisiksi.

7.
Liimaa tukipuomin jatkopalat paikalleen.

8.
Leikkaa balsalevystä osat penkkeihin:
2 kpl : 11 x 2,5 cm (istuimet)
4 kpl: 2,5 x 3 cm (jalat)

9.
Muotoile jalkoja varovasti mattoveitsellä ja hiekkapaperilla. Muodon tulisi olla tiimalasimainen.

10.
Liimaa jalat penkkeihin ja anna liiman kuivua ennen seuraavaa työvaihetta.

11.
Maalaa osat vaaleansinisellä akryylimaalilla. Anna maalin kuivua.

12.
Saadaksesi penkit ja pöydän näytämään kuluneelta ja vanhalta, hio maalia pois reunoilta ja pyöristä samalla kulmia.
